Care Guide
To increase the longevity of your jewels and maintain their condition, it is recommended that you avoid wearing your pieces while sleeping, swimming and showering, or during any physical activities that may cause damage to them, in particular with fine chains and thin banded rings.
Exposure to any chemicals should be avoided, and it is best to put your jewellery on after applying body creams and once your perfume has settled on the skin.
For regular maintenance, polishing with a polishing cloth will help to keep your jewels in good condition, as will keeping the pieces dry and avoiding moisture with proper storage.

Solid gold pieces can be washed using a mild detergent in some warm water and a soft bristled toothbrush or a soft damp cloth to clean the grime from your jewels. We also recommend gold specific cleaning products, dips and polishing cloths for the best shine. Contact the studio if you would like further recommendations.

Sterling silver will oxidise over time, however with regular care, this can become a beautiful feature to your piece. We recommend using a silver-specific cleaning dip or a silver polishing cloth to bring your piece back to its original shine.

Any jewellery that contains pearls will need to cleaned separately.Do not use vinegar, lemon juice or any abrasives on these pieces, as they may damage the lustre of the pearl. Instead, it is recommended to use either a specific pearl safe polishing cloth or cleaning product, and to wipe them with a soft damp cloth after each use. Store them individually, and separate to other jewellery, to avoid scratching the surface of the pearl.

For jewels containing stones, we recommend cleaning them using a mild detergent in some warm water and a soft bristled toothbrush or a soft damp cloth to remove any debris from in and around your stones when necessary, taking care not to scratch the surface of your jewel.
Certain gems such as opals are particularly soft, and it is recommended to take extra care when wearing and cleaning them to avoid chipping or breaking the stone. cription

Plating and oxides are surface treatments that will fade and change over time. When cleaning, make sure not to use jewellery cleaners or microfiber cloths, as they will wear away the plating. Instead, use a soft damp cotton cloth to wipe your jewellery clean. If you would like your piece replated, please contact the studio. This may incur a small fee.
If your piece requires either repair, reshaping, resurfacing or a professional clean, or if you have any questions, please contact the studio. We recommend a professional clean and check up of your jewels ideally every 6-12 months.
